Sculptural wall hanging urban landscape made of plaster of Paris, 2017
This piece represents a landscape filled with the intimate contradictions of urban life.
Regardless of how the light falls, shadows will appear within the piece. And it is in the shadows wherein the magic lies. Upon looking through the sides of the perspex box, the space expands into a play of light: shadow and reality become intertwined.
The sculptural pieces have been carefully crafted out of plaster of Paris, layered onto wooden blocks to recreate an image far from the original source. The piece took approximately 270 hours to complete
